You were the first to use dummy research for Homeworld2 modding.
In the research files of any Complex versions, any mod-maker can find a ton of fictitious research like this:

Hey everyone.

I'm new to the forums but have played a lot of this mod along with Simplex. This is not a post about comparing the two.

Just so far I want to say I really love whats being done here. I Honestly cant wait for the new races as the Kadesh are my second favorite race, so I'm super excited to see them soon and will be patreoning the $5 dollar and above mark soon for it and more to come moving forward.

Just wanted to mention a few thoughts I've had about the mod so far, mainly weird balancing stuff.

Hi y'all kiithid,

I'll keep it brief. Homeworld is famous for its amazing backgrounds (call them skyboxes if you like). Yet Complex has very bland background images - usually plain black, some very uninspiring clouds and a handful of stars.

Why is that?

Can we have proper HW backgrounds instead?

For those interested, here's someone writing very interesting stuff about HW background art.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to see if I can change some of the balancing in complex 12.
I used to do this all the time in complex 9 and below by opening the .big file with the HWarchiveTool, extracting a particular .lua file, changing a few numbers, and then save it back into the program data file. This worked great for doing things like changing population limits or speeding up/slowing down ships, but i cant get this trick to work with 12. I have all my altered .lua files in the game data folder, and have -overrideBigFile at the end of the launch target, but nothing seems to stick.

Hi, long time follower here roughly since first complex.

Being that this is project based on passion and personal vision, I refrained from leaving feedback for earlier versions of complex as well as criticizing it too much as more than a few things rubbed me the wrong way.

For start, I have to say the you have my honest admiration for doing all this and keeping this mod alive. Awesome job!

From my subjective standpoint, I love this (RM) version of complex much more than old complex. Fleets are most certainly smaller, micromanaging comes more into play here and outcome is less focused...
