Wow, you work fast. So did you find a map editor or did you script it all?
Cant wait |

What about adding a few vertices to the sphere used for planets? (to avoid those hard hedges in the shape) |

Complex 6.8 out this week end on Saturday.
It will be downloadable only for members of this forum.
Features:
-planets on map background;
-new map called Topleca (large scale, 90000);
-enhanched game camera view (more far, 9000 -> 15000);
-gameplay balancing;
-AI balancing, expecially for the honour progression;
-other few issues on bugs and tuning.
After this release (I think the last of the 6 series) we will start the development of Complex 7. |
Excellent! But will dreadnought badges be the right way up now?

Cool.
I see here a preparation for BIG maps... and real planets
Will the new big map be for 6p or can we play it like in duel? I like to play against only one AI at the time, lol.
Also, just an ideia.. it would be so cool if we could hyperspace to other maps. Altrough this might be vey difficult to mod or even impossible...

I'm really glad that you're still working on Complex Beghins!
As for larger maps, I'm all for it. I only play on the largest available and that starts to feel a little cramped (well with five enemies it does anyway ) |

That map looks great. Is all of it dark like their fighting in the planet's shadow? We need more planet backround maps, make it look like your fighting for more than resources. It would also be cool to have a map with a destroyed planet as background in fragments with lots of asteroid bases, dust clouds and radiation clouds on the map itself. |

nice ^^ i think the BC won
the planet in the background looks also very cool but the hedges in the shape are too hard as Epon said. should be like the screen with the earth in the planet management thread
and thx for the enhanched game camera view ^^ |

Its hard to believe after all these years Relic did such a good job (as usual) this game still moves on. Especially with other companies still putting out $50+ crap.
Thanks Beghin for the best mod for HW. _________________ Ludicrous Speed! |

Good Lord, man! Do you have a life? Well, either way, I am boundlessly grateful for your efforts. I'm looking forward to the bigger maps (what, more maps? YAY!) and how we're going to interact with planets.
There are some naysayers, but I think the planet(iods) are a viable gameplay option if used properly. Of course, knowing what would be how to best do that is the trick, no?
I mean really, just how much does the Complex have in common with the original HW2 as far as gameplay goes? I have a stock version on my computer and when I played a skirmish recently I was out of sorts because so much of how I manage things are totaly different. I got bored.
So I dig it man, keep up the good work. |
