I dont know if this has already been said but is anyone modeling vaygr powership research ship and crew? I mean, I'd be willing to model them but I don't know what's your idea for Vaygr...

power station for the Vayger sounds good 10 subsystem like Higi powerstation need !!!

Does the Vaygrs should have a station? As i see the concept of C7 - they have another way - researshes and subsystems on capitals, but not stations.

I would think that the Vaygr power station would need to be "Vaygr shaped" that is tall rather than flat. Besides that the design would be up to you Smile

I would also suggest a different number of Magnet slots to Hiigaran station, just so that both races are not the same. Vayg Magnets could be for example 50% more in number on the station and less powerful than Hiigaran, or fewer in number and more powerful.

i was relaying some ideas on my mind... and instead of magnets and a power core... how about a solar station... I mean the vaygr are Nomads so... i'd like to see something different if you know what I mean... Smile

As for research, the Vaygr could win research points by establishing a war economy... for instance 3/4 resource operations = Higi science research module 450 RP.. something like that (or kills)...

As for the vaygr ships. Since they're Nomads, how about a Hero system... I've been working on a little personal mod like that and higi and vaygr heroes sounded a great needing addition to the complex series..

be carefull, about vayger stations,
because vaygr don't need power station, crew station, research station, it is different gameplay. from time to time many peaple don't like this stations and play with vaygr.
i mean it is good idea to wait what brings vaygr beta test. because i think vaygr don't use energy.

I think vaygrs get energy in their own way, with researches & modules on carriers and mothership. If their wouldn't use energy - it would be disbalance.

Well, i made a quick rework of my V power ship... and this is how it turned out...

Notice, I made a toroidal magnet one... The core system is different from higis however... This ones incorporate the ship's reactors with a large polarized magnet, giving lots of power, However (like higis) they require toroidal magnets to upgrade the power output for the fleet... feedback me!!

The rework of the Powership looks better.

If the Hiigarans have an energy based operation then the Vagyr would have to be similarly disabled otherwise it would cause a significant imbalance in the game.

Also agreed. I thought the original looked pretty good for a 15-minute job, albeit not too Vaygrish, and needed some refining. Its starting to look quite good now.

I agree completely - although since the Vaygr use more Kinetic weapons, that could give them an advantage in the power department using less power for these weapons. It would make the races more diverse. Their defense fields and other high-tech things could use more power than the Hiigs, because they lack the actual technology to make them as efficient. That way, the Vaygr keep thier feel as a race, having Kinetic and Missile weapons that use ittle energy, but when they need to, they can still be fairly technologically advanced - albeit at the cost of power.

No complaints about what's been said so far, everything is perfect. Love the ship, it looks Vayger-ish while still serving as a power station. But I think that we should draw the line at the power station and possibly the crew station. The Hiig power station goes off like a Juggernaut whenever it is destroyed, taking the crew and research station with it. Besides, we don't want the vayger to be too much like the Hiigs, do we?

I agree - no crew.research stations. I thought they could have crew modules, though - buildable from any production capital ship. It would fit with their nomadic nature, they wouldn't need crew cells (also fitting with their nomadic nature) and it would spread them out well. Thier power station could also not go off like the Hiig power station because it uses some other means to generate power; such as a hull made entirely of solar energy harvestering polymers; the Vaygr can be innovative once in a while Very Happy. The hull would be weaker because of the fragility of the polymers, however. No massve bomb + Weaker hull = unique Vaygr power station!

Agreed, the diversity has to be maintained so that there are sharp differences between them.
