I can`t find the scripting for the NIS- it seems it`s not where it`s supposed to be.

I need the mod the script to replace the audio, but it`s impossible to find the file. I know where it`s supposed to be, but it`s not there and apparantly it doesn`t have a name that makes finding it easy either.

I`d appreciate the help..

Addendum:
Now that i`m getting more familiar with the file structure etc i`m noticing alot trash in various files. References that with missing targets, missing files, bad spelling etc.. Is that being cleaned up for 8.1 or should i fix that myself?

The spelling errors are being attended to for certainty in version 8.0.

Some of the redundant entities are parked in case they may be of use in the future.
(For example the Ion Cannon turret on the vanilla Hiigaran Carrier).

If i could do that i wouldn`t be asking- i got the basics covered so i can do most stuff on my own now, but i can`t find the NIS..

I`ve got several manuals and i`ve been all through the relic forums. Keep in mind that the game is also really old so a large portion of the links referring to stuff about the game are DEAD..

Maybe Complex should consider salvaging what`s left for posterity..

ANYWAYS:
From relic forums and the relevant guides i`m being told that NIS scripting should either be found in the ascension folder or the mission.lua file.

in complex there is NO mission.lua and there is nothing in the ascension filder. I`ve been through ALL the folders countless times and i can`t find anything resembling the NIS. Moreover i can`t find ANY references to it either, which i find strange..

i believe i have most toolkits out there.

a nis editor and the hod editor..

both suffer dll errors..

NOT THE POINT THOUGH.

i`m not missing software- I`m missing the name of the NIS and it`s LUA.

I don`t need to edit the actual NIS i need edit the relevant LUA..

But i can`t find them anywhere.
